This morning I finally, finally
posted my spn_reversebang
- affectionately titled Not All Dogs Go to Heaven
- BEFORE those bastards from Kripke Enterprises poached my title (or, I guess, poached the title I bastardized from the kids' movie). All that notwithstanding, let me just say: I am over the freaking moon to be finished with it after several weeks of frantic writing, procrastinating and general deadline avoidance.
It was definitely a cool experience, and working with miki_moo
was grand and a total breeze, and resulted in some fun art (seriously, go check it out
), but writing for a deadline was encroaching upon uncomfortable gradschool flashback territory. I suppose I can't deny that it was effective, because we all know how fantastic I am about finishing things the rest of the time, and I didn't really expect to finish up a fic at all by the cutoff date, much less one that was frighteningly close to 25, 000 words in length. (Wait, you mean to say that the challenge wasn't called spn_reversebang
you tell me.) I'm actually pretty happy with how it turned out, all things considered. It feels really good to have produced something with a decent wordcount, that doesn't make me want to run to the bathroom to puke (this is a recent development, after much talking-down from sansday
That being said, let's have a gander at all the WIP shit that I still need to finish up, including stuff I haven't posted yet. Shall we?- Life on Earth- Hellblazer- Black Light
: porny Dean/Cas outtake from 6.05- Generals:
Dean/Cas/Balthazar filth- Infinite Riches
: 5x17 outtake featuring everyone's favourite archangel, Mikey- When Play Turns Bitter
: Dean/OMC, Dean/Cas post-S6 epic!fic
- Yet another D/C fanmix that I've been planning since August
- Did I mention Life on Earth
? I feel like I should be sending out hand-written notes of apology to everyone who has been patiently waiting for the next installments. Jaysus.
Anyway, I hope this more or less provides some insight into what I have coming up in the near future, as well as an explanation for why I've been so remiss in keeping up with the major WIPs on my journal. I hope to have Life on Earth
tied up by the end of the year at the latest, because it's kind of getting to the point of ridiculousness now (especially since there's only 1 or 2 parts to go, max), and it would be great to get the ball rolling on Hellblazer
again, considering I was posting at a rate of 1 part per day at the beginning.
Thanks to everyone who has shown an interest and pestered me to keep writing. It really is motivating to know there are people out there who are eager to read my work, and I need the occasional poke with a high-voltage cattle prod to keep me on track. In the meantime, validate the slavish writing I did over the last month, and go read Not All Dogs
. I even made a fancy PDF
for y'all. Now shoo.
